Koss has been making heavy duty professional studio and broadcasting headphones for decades, and it is fair to say that their studio phones set the standard for all others. The Koss MV1 headphones are one of the latest models in Koss professional collection, adding some style and sophistication to the rock solid simplistic headphone models that came before it. These are great for professional DJs and musicians.

As is essential for studio headphones, the MV1s' closed cushions seal around the ear, holding sound in and locking noise out. That isolation is important for focus while working, as well as for hearing the entire frequency range without turning the volume way up. That isolation is further enhanced by the headband which is made of steel and rubber. The headband is comfortable but incredibly sturdy and it holds the earphone cushions tightly in place.

The sound quality of the Koss MV1 headphones is great, and the level of detail amazing. Both the bass and the treble are very clear, and to me one of the most impressive things is that during louder parts of songs the sound does not get muddled or cluttered, and you can still hear all the individual elements of the sound clearly. Contrast that with the "wall of sound" you often run into with less serious headphones.

The older professional studio headphone models from Koss are quite heavy, which was possibly their main drawback. The Koss MV1 headphones are not light either, but they are an improvement on the older models and will not weigh your head down as much. The ear cushions' coating is made from rubber, though, which make your ears hot and sweaty after just a couple of songs. If you are a music professional then you can likely deal with that discomfort in favor of precision. But if you are a casual music fan, then the Koss Portapro headphones might be a better option for you.

Anyway, This video shows an example of a big speaker system that you can get for the price of the 00 Bose Lifestyle 48, and blows the LS48 away. This video shows how the Bose Lifestyle 48 is overpriced in terms of being overvalued. How on earth can those 4 in. tall Jewel Cubes be worth the same as these bigger speakers, especially when Bose uses some of the cheapest materials out there (you'll see the annotation in the video that addresses the different kinds of paper, and how they're different)? Sure, you could say "something can't be overpriced if people are willing to pay for it", but a lot of people who think Bose is good have no idea you could get something like this for the same price. And since Paradigm, along with every other audio company out there, doesn't advertise, but Bose does, how can people even know about these other brands? BTW, this dealer sold Bose years ago, and the only way they could sell them is if they separated them from their other brands, for people would compare them side by side and most of the time choose the other brands, which often cost less or were the same price as the Bose systems.
